A most beautiful English country oak 18th century secretary desk. Exquisite patina c1770. Beautiful brass Chippendale escutcheons and handles. - very elegant! The slant front opens to reveal numerous drawers and letter slots. Bracket feet. The top drawer does NOT open, but you can access it by sliding a hidden panel in the desk top surface! As useful as it is beautiful. A delightful and easy going piece. Dovetail construction, very heavy and ready to use! Imported from England.
