A Large and Stunning English Pine and Oak Secretary Bookcase c1800

A stately and rather superb English country pine and oak 19th century bookcase of good proportions. Exquisite waxed surface. Paneled doors open to reveal ample cubby hole shelving. Generous drawers provide additional storage. Sophisticated swan neck hardware adorns each drawer. The top two drawers are made of oak, as they also act as the pull-out writing surface of the desk. Inside the desk, there are many cubby holes, drawers and a central door. Comes apart into two pieces for ease of transport. As useful as it is beautiful. Solid in joint. Dovetail construction. Beautiful stately piece!

Condition: splits, scratches, dents, marks, stains, historical repairs, cracks, possibly replaced hardware, possibly replaced trim, uneven coloring, drop desk only locks on one side (see pictures) but still holds nicely, - solid and very usable - beautiful patina!
