Truly beautiful handmade English log baskets …
In my continued effort to bring you British made artesian crafts, I am thrilled to offer these handmade English willow log baskets! These baskets are made by basket weaver Peter Dibble. Peter lives and works in Suffolk, England and has been a full time basketmaker since 1997. He initially learnt from his father-in-law, Will Berry, a Suffolk maker but has since gone on to develop his own style and range. He makes functional baskets for everyday use from his own grown willows and willows bought from the Somerset Levels, the last major willow growing region in England. Sold individually.
These baskets are a pleasure to look at as well as to hold! The plump colorful willow whips are beautifully woven together resulting in a strong and sturdy basket. Perfect next to your fireplace as a log holder, or next to your sofa holding your blankets, or?
