A charming antique English pastoral landscape painting c1848. Oil on oak panel of a cow and sheep resting in a landscape at sunset. In the circle of Thomas Sidney Cooper 1803-1902. Inscribed verso B Smith 1848 - see photo. Possibly Barbara (Leigh Smith) Bodichon 1827-1891. In good clean condition, some craquleur commensurate with age. In a lovely closed corner swept gilt frame. Recently cleaned and ready to hang.
Condition: Good antique condition. Some cracks and abrasions. Frame in good condition with some loss to gilding.
